Wolves striker Arokodare, forces first team training session to be cancelled

Wolves striker Tolu Arokodare reportedly forced the cancellation of a training session after refusing to leave the pitch in protest over the club's decision not to sell him to Italian Serie A side Fiorentina.

The 25-year-old Nigerian striker is said to have demanded a move to Fiorentina after Wolves reportedly rejected the Italian club's bid in favour of an offer from Turkish side Trabzonspor.

The incident occurred during a training session at the Sir Jack Hayward Training Ground, where Arokodare allegedly sat on the pitch and refused to continue until his concerns were addressed.

His actions prompted newly appointed head coach Cesar Peixoto to end the session. Peixoto has also reportedly decided not to include the striker in Wednesday's pre-season friendly against Maidenhead United.

The latest incident adds to Arokodare's disciplinary issues at Molineux, having also been disciplined in April following a confrontation with young forward Mateus Mane.

Arokodare joined Wolves from Belgian side Genk for £24 million last summer but managed just three Premier League goals as the club finished bottom of the table and suffered relegation.

The situation presents an early test for Peixoto, who took charge last month after replacing Rob Edwards.
