The Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF) has kicked off its preparations for the 2027 General Election by opening registration for aspirants seeking the party’s ticket for national and county elective positions.
The party’s National Elections Board is inviting candidates interested in contesting for governor, senator, Member of the National Assembly, county woman representative and Member of County Assembly (MCA) seats to register. The exercise also covers individuals seeking nomination through party lists.
In a notice issued on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, WPF gave prospective candidates until October 3, 2026, to complete the registration process as political parties begin positioning themselves ahead of the August 10, 2027 polls.
“The Wiper Patriotic Front invites persons interested to vie for various positions in the 10th August 2027 General Election on a WPF ticket to Register as WPF ASPIRANTS on or before 3rd October, 2026.”
The party has set different application fees depending on the position and category of the aspirant.
Those seeking the governor’s position will pay Sh50,000 under the general category, while women, youth and persons with disabilities will pay Sh25,000.
Candidates seeking Senate, National Assembly and county woman representative positions will pay Sh20,000 under the general category and Sh10,000 under the reduced category.
For MCA positions, the application fee is Sh10,000 for general applicants and Sh5,000 for women, youth and persons with disabilities.
WPF, however, clarified that the reduced fee does not apply to candidates seeking the county woman representative position.
Aspirants have been directed to make payments through the party’s designated Co-operative Bank of Kenya account or its M-Pesa Paybill.
The bank account, registered under the name Wiper Patriotic Front, is 01120199325701 at the Parliament branch. The party has also provided the relevant branch and international banking details for those making direct bank payments.
Those using mobile money have been instructed to pay through Paybill number 400200, using account number 1930930. The amount payable will depend on the position the applicant intends to contest.
Before submitting their applications, prospective candidates have also been asked to confirm their WPF membership status.
“All Aspirants are advised to reconfirm their WPF membership status through USSD Code *509# (and follow the prompts). If you are not a WPF Member, go to our website and register to be a member.”
The party said the registration form is available online through its website, where aspirants can complete and submit their applications.
“The application form can be accessed by clicking on the link on our website https://wiper.co.ke/aspirants where you can complete the form online.”
The registration exercise is an early part of WPF’s preparations for the 2027 election and allows prospective candidates to formally declare their interest before the party moves to its nomination and candidate-selection stages.
WPF is associated with former Vice-President Kalonzo Musyoka, a long-standing figure in Kenya’s opposition politics who has previously sought the presidency. The party was also part of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition that contested the 2022 presidential election.
As parties begin preparing for the 2027 polls, WPF’s registration drive is expected to give the party an early view of the candidates interested in competing for its ticket at both national and grassroots levels.
The party is mobilising supporters under the slogan “Komboa Kenya” as it builds its campaign ahead of the election.
WPF has provided several telephone contacts for aspirants who require clarification on the registration process, membership, payments and other application requirements.
Prospective candidates must confirm their membership, choose the position they wish to contest, pay the applicable fee and submit their details through the party’s online registration platform before the October 3 deadline.
The registration exercise will pave the way for further preparations, including party nominations and the eventual selection of candidates who will carry the WPF ticket in the 2027 General Election.
