Data from the National Syndemic Diseases Control Council (NSDCC) shows uptake of the lifesaving daily HIV prevention pill is losing momentum at a time when Kenya needs it most, with coverage stalling at just 39 per cent.

As a result, many of the people and regions most affected by the epidemic remain largely unprotected, despite the drug being free.
