KNCHR flags rising human rights violations as nearly 3,000 cases reported
Data released by the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights shows that 2,848 complaints were filed between December 2024 and December 2025, reflecting widespread challenges in the protection of basic rights. The annual review indicates that failures in economic, social and cultural rights formed the largest share of reported cases, followed closely by violations linked to civil and political freedoms
