Justice Ibrahim passed away on Wednesday evening at a hospital in Nairobi, marking the end of a distinguished legal career that spanned more than four decades and left a lasting imprint on Kenya’s judiciary.
The case, filed as SC Petition No. 12 (E014) of 2022, pitted the bank against the Commissioner for Domestic Taxes from the Large Taxpayers Office. Kenya Bankers Association and Mastercard Asia Pacific (Pte) Limited took part as interested parties.
The recess is expected to affect litigation schedules, including appeals and constitutional petitions, and parties are advised to plan accordingly.
