The Public Procurement Administrative Review Board rejected applications by Leading Edge Limited and Westend Limited in decisions issued on October 14, allowing the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to continue with both procurement processes.
The decision comes at a time when IEBC is working on several preparations for the 2027 General Election. The procurement of materials is one of the steps that must be completed ahead of polling, as the items have to be prepared, produced, checked and moved to polling centres across the country.
IEBC is looking for suppliers of a new Integrated Elections Management System that will be used in the next General Election, with the commission saying the technology currently in use has become obsolete.
