In a statement read by his son Jaoko Oburu during the handover of Raila Odinga’s mausoleum in Bondo, Siaya County, Oburu said the collaboration had demonstrated the benefits of political maturity and unity.

The current MP, Phelix Odiwuor, popularly known as Jalang’o, has said he will seek the Nairobi Senate seat instead of defending Lang’ata. South C MCA Ibrahim Abbas Khalif is also seeking to move to Parliament.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Oburu described the investment as “a powerful catalyst towards National industrialization” and said it could “permanently rewrite the economic destiny of Lamu County and the entire coastal region”.
The ceremony will launch a series of activities planned under the banner Mwezi wa Baba, with Kenyans expected to come together throughout October to remember Raila and reflect on his life and legacy.
