According to the Ministry, all information submitted through the platform will be treated with strict confidentiality to protect whistleblowers and ensure credible investigations. The reporting window will remain open until Monday, February 2, 2026.

In a statement issued on December 31, Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba said day secondary and C4 day senior school learners continue to pay zero fees under the Free Day Secondary Education (FDSE) programme, while government capitation of Sh22,244 per learner remains unchanged.
Despite the high number of rejected requests, the ministry said the exercise has largely met learner preferences, with 88 percent of students placed according to their original or revised choices.
In a statement on Sunday, the Principal Secretary for Basic Education, Julius K. Bitok, confirmed that the placement exercise was conducted through an automated system designed to ensure merit, equity, and fairness.
During a media briefing on Friday, Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba explained that the final numbers will guide how much each school receives. Under the new figures, high school students will get Sh22,240 each, junior school learners will get Sh15,000, and primary school pupils will receive Sh1,540. He noted that past delays often happened because the ministry did not have clear data to work with.
According to the Ministry of Education, 44,495 schools have so far been cleared after submitting verifiable information. At the same time, the audit has already uncovered 87,000 ghost learners and identified 10 schools in 10 counties that have no learners at all, raising fresh questions about how nearly Sh1 billion in capitation was previously released without proper checks.
In a statement issued on 6 November 2025, Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba said there has been no revision of boarding fees or any other charges payable by learners in public senior schools.
Education Principal Secretary Julius Bitok said the ministry, working closely with the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC), had ensured that all affected candidates were able to sit their exams without disruption.
According to the Ministry, Term One for all pre-primary, primary, junior, senior, and secondary schools will run for 13 weeks from January 5 to April 2, 2026.
