Hard truths. Bold Insights. Real talk.
The meeting, chaired by Director of Public Prosecutions Renson Ingonga on behalf of Chief Justice Martha Koome, brought together leaders from across the justice sector to tackle long-standing challenges.
Speaking at the 35th National Council on the Administration of Justice (NCAJ) meeting held in Mombasa on Tuesday, Ingonga urged justice sector leaders to move beyond routine performance reviews and embrace candid reflection and forward-looking reforms as they shape the Strategic Plan 2026–2030.
Ingonga told the committee that the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) has been entering into Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with various investigative agencies to strengthen collaboration and build trust when handling sensitive cases.
He said the charges were based on clear acts of destruction that targeted public property during the demonstrations — actions that, under Kenyan law, qualify as terrorism.
