The National Assembly Public Investments Committee on Governance and Education directed former Vice Chancellors Prof Olive Mugenda and Prof Paul Wainaina to appear before it and respond to financial and administrative decisions made during their respective tenures.

The findings pointed to repeated breaches of the rule requiring that no more than one-third of staff in any public institution should come from the same ethnic community.

According to the commission, anti-corruption agencies from different African countries convened in Nairobi to exchange ideas on strengthening transparency, accountability, and governance systems across the continent.
