In a statement on Wednesday, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said the suspects Pius Paskale Frugenze, 52, and his wife, Redempta Revelian Kuleta, 47, were arrested in Magongo following investigations into a passenger who was allegedly stupefied aboard a Dreamliner bus travelling from Nairobi to Mombasa.
In a statement on Monday, the DCI said suspect Solomon Kathurima Kairemia was arrested on September 21 following weeks of forensic analysis and intelligence-led investigations by detectives from the CCIO’s Office and DCI Imenti North.
Chief Magistrate Gethi Kibiru granted the request by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the DCI, after investigators initially sought 30 days to complete forensic examinations, analyse digital evidence, conduct searches and trace other suspects.
