Heavy rains and strong winds forecast across Kenya for five days

In the western and central highlands, counties such as Kisumu, Siaya, Homa Bay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nandi, Nakuru, Narok, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia, and West Pokot will also experience continuous rains and thunderstorms. Maximum temperatures in these areas will reach 31°C, while minimums are expected to fall to 8°C.

Temperatures to rise as rainfall reduces in latest weekly outlook

The department noted that daytime temperatures above 30°C are expected in sections of the Coast, North-eastern, and North-western Kenya. At the same time, some areas in the Central Highlands, the Central Rift Valley, and around Mt. Kilimanjaro may experience night-time temperatures falling below 10°C.
