Maurene Comey, who had served at the Manhattan-based Southern District of New York since 2015, was reportedly told she was being let go with no reason provided.
The musician, known as Diddy, has pleaded not guilty to charges including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. If convicted, he could face a life sentence.
Diddy’s Lawyers plan to argue that the relationship between Combs and Ventura was "mutually violent."
“Mr. Combs is not guilty of the charges brought against him and looks forward to clearing his name in court,” his attorney said in a statement.
