His remarks come against the backdrop of the 2024 removal of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua through an impeachment process, a development that marked the first time a Kenyan Deputy President was removed from office through Parliament.
The achievements in registration, DP noted, are being consolidated through increased recruitment of doctors, nurses, lab technologists among other healthcare practitioners to meet the demands in various hospitals and health centres across the country.

The Deputy President also appealed for reconciliation among leaders from the Mt Kenya region, saying political competition should not destroy longstanding social and cultural ties.
The Deputy President also reached out to politicians who feel left out in other political camps, urging them to join hands with him instead of remaining on the sidelines.
