In a letter, Senate Clerk Jeremiah Nyengenye asked Chirchir to submit procurement records, the original contract, bills of quantities, the award decision and details of any subsequent changes to the agreement.
Chirchir made the announcement on Thursday during a meeting attended by road contractors, engineers and technical officers from the State Department for Roads and its implementing agencies.
The proposed rules, developed by the National Transport and Safety Authority in conjunction with the Ministry, are aimed at strengthening vehicle safety standards, enhancing inspection systems and tightening enforcement amid rising concerns over road accidents.
