Appearing before Justice Diana Kavedza, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), called Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Beneutychus Wanjohi, a forensic expert specialising in Imaging and Acoustics, as its seventh witness.
Prosecutors said he used AI tools to create fake online identities, targeting victims through social media and dating sites, earning their trust, then extorting their money.
In the first case, Resident Magistrate Hon. Green Odera sentenced 32-year-old Darius Mboga, also known as Kevo, after convicting him on three counts of defilement contrary to Sections 8(3) and 8(4) of the Sexual Offences Act. He was also found guilty on three counts of committing an indecent act contrary to Section 11(1) of the Act.

The court has marked the case as urgent and allowed the residents to serve BP outside the country. Other parties will be served through a newspaper advertisement. The case will be mentioned on May 6 for further directions, but the court declined to grant temporary orders at this stage.
Authorities said the singer had been reported for operating her BMW “erratically at a high rate of speed” on a motorway. Officers from the California Highway Patrol later stopped her and noted she “showed signs of impairment” before administering field sobriety tests.
