Nairobi launches 2025–29 plan to fight air pollution and protect residents
Toxic air has been a serious health risk in Nairobi. In 2019, air pollution was linked to about 2,500 early deaths. The new strategy sets clear targets to cut emissions from major polluters, including vehicles, industrial sites, waste disposal, construction, and urban farming.
